HumanXAI is building a small, exceptional team. We look for candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience, a record of original, high-impact work, and the judgment to lead difficult technical programs from first principles to working systems.

    Research
    Paris / Zürich

    Senior Research Scientist

    Research learning systems intended to form useful representations of dynamic environments, retain context across time, and support reasoning and planning.

    What you will do

    • Research methods for learning useful representations from physical interaction and multimodal observation.
    • Explore world models, memory, reasoning, and planning for agents operating in changing environments.
    • Design rigorous evaluations of generalization, uncertainty, failure modes, and safety boundaries.
    • Turn promising ideas into reproducible experiments and collaborate on embodied validation when appropriate.
    • Communicate research clearly and contribute to external publication when approved.

    What you bring

    • 10+ years of relevant experience across advanced study, research, and technical leadership in machine learning, robotics, computer vision, reinforcement learning, or a related field.
    • A PhD or equivalent demonstrated research depth, with an exceptional record of original, high-impact work.
    • A track record of personally leading ambitious research programs from hypothesis through rigorous evaluation.
    • Excellent Python and hands-on experience with PyTorch or JAX and modern training infrastructure.
    • Deep knowledge of world models, multimodal learning, model-based reinforcement learning, generative sequence models, memory, or planning.
    • The ability to work independently, challenge assumptions, and collaborate closely across research and engineering.

    Engineering
    Paris / Zürich

    Senior Embodied Intelligence Engineer

    Build dependable software and robotics systems for researching perception, planning, and action across target embodiments.

    What you will do

    • Develop research infrastructure that connects learned models with varied robot platforms.
    • Build dependable real-time software across perception, state estimation, planning, control, and observability.
    • Create evaluation and experimentation tools across simulation and hardware.
    • Diagnose system behaviour across learned models, software, electronics, and mechanics.
    • Implement safety checks and recovery mechanisms for responsible physical-system research.

    What you bring

    • 10+ years designing, integrating, and operating complex robotic or autonomous systems.
    • A track record of owning delivery across research, software, hardware, and rigorous validation.
    • Strong C++ and Python on Linux, with fluency in ROS or ROS 2, sensors, actuators, and robotics tooling.
    • Solid foundations in kinematics, dynamics, controls, perception, or state estimation.
    • Experience deploying GPU-accelerated machine-learning models under latency and reliability constraints.
    • Clear engineering judgment, careful debugging habits, and the ability to collaborate closely with research and hardware teams.
